BHMG Engineers Inc., a provider of transmission, substation, and interconnection engineering services to electric utilities and large energy users across the Midwest, is pleased to announce its expansion into Iowa and the appointment of Andrew McNamara as Regional Manager, effective March 23, 2026.
Andrew brings more than 13 years of experience in utility engineering and project delivery. He most recently served as Director of Electrical Transmission at MidAmerican Energy, where he led transmission design and execution efforts supporting grid reliability and large-scale renewable energy integration. His experience spans transmission engineering, field operations, and utility-scale wind and solar development.
In his new role, Andrew will lead BHMG’s Iowa operations, focusing on supporting electric utilities, municipalities, and energy developers with transmission, substation, and interconnection engineering services. He will also be responsible for building regional partnerships and expanding BHMG’s operational presence across Iowa and the broader Midwest.
